Australian Cricket Team is all set to lock horns against India from 20 September for a 3 T20I Series. Josh Hazlewood, the star speedster is set to lead the attack as Mitchell Starc has been rested due to a minor injury. Austalia would be keen to see how their two-star pacers: Hazlewood and Cummins perform in the absence of Starc as Starc is someone who takes the opponent by surprise.

Cricket Australia would be closely monitoring Aaron Finch’s batting as the batter has been in poor form. The right-handed batter had called time on his ODI career because of a lack of runs. Selector George Bailey has been quite supportive in these tough times and has stood tall.

Josh Hazlewood on T20I Captaincy

Josh Hazlewood by asked by Reporters on Sydney Cricket Ground who would be the next T20I Captain “All teams at the moment really feel like they’re quite senior and there’s a lot of guys who sort of take the leadership upon themselves when they’re out there in the middle doing their chosen skill,” The speedster said.

There’s quite a lot of experience out there in the middle and I think it would be quite easy for the next captain to come in and just seamlessly transition,” said Hazlewood.

With the quicks, we’re probably going to rest (from) white ball here and there so it’s not like, I guess, Patty with the test matches playing every game.

“That could create a reshuffle of captaincy and vice-captaincy all the time. You probably want someone in there who’s stable and playing every game. It makes it a lot easier, I think,” he concluded

David Warner in talks with Cricket Australia

David Warner, the left-handed batter who was a part of the infamous ball-tampering scandal was permanently banned from leadership roles. It has been 4 years since that controversy and it looks like Warner would be given a second chance to prove his worth.

The dynamic batter has been the backbone of the Australian setup. Cricket Australia at the same time would be aware that uplifting his ban could send a bad message to Australia. There’s no doubt about Warner’s leadership as former Coach Darren Lehmann had also praised him for captaincy when the batter was the captain for T20I Tri-Series in 2018 which featured England & New Zealand.
