The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed that all-rounder Deepak Hooda was unavailable for selection in the ongoing third T20I between India and Australia on September 25, 2022, due to a back injury. The match is being played at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Uppal, Hyderabad.
India and Australia came into this encounter with the series leveled 1-1 as Australia won the first T20I in Mohali, while India leveled the series in Nagpur in a rain-shortened match.
Indian captain Rohit Sharma continued winning the tosses and decided to bowl first and revealed that one change was made as they stuck with Bhuvneshwar Kumar in place of Rishabh Pant, who had played in the second match.
However, while announcing the Indian XI on their official Twitter handle, the BCCI also confirmed that Deepak Hooda was unavailable for selection in this match due to a back injury.

Cameron Green And Tim David Fifties Take Australia To 186/7 As India Bowler Hemorrhage Runs
Australia batters went after the leather from the start especially Cameron Green who made 52 in 21 balls with 7 fours and 3 sixes to his name. Though Indian bowlers tried to come back with cheap wickets of Aaron Finch (7), Steve Smith (9), Glenn Maxwell (6), and Matthew Wade (1), Tim David had some other ideas.
Playing only his third T20I for Australia, Tim David made 54 in 27 balls with 4 sixes and 2 fours and got great support from Josh Inglis (24) and Daniel Sams (28*) as Australia recovered from 117/6 to 186/7 in 20 overs.
Indian bowlers didn’t have a good day in the middle, especially Harshal Patel, who went for 1/18 in 2 overs, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who gave 39 runs in his 3 overs. But the surprise was Jasprit Bumrah, who went for 50 runs in his 4 overs. Axar Patel was the pick of bowlers with 3/33 in 4 overs.
