India take on Australia in the third and final T20I in Hyderabad on Sunday, September 25. The series is nicely poised at 1-1 after India’s six-wicket win in the second T20I in Nagpur. After Australia, India host South Africa for three T20Is and three ODIs before heading off to the T20 World Cup 2022.
Rohit Sharma scored an unbeaten 46 off 20 deliveries to take India home. Dinesh Karthik scored 10 off 2 balls to take India home in the final over and level the series.
India made two changes to their playing XI in the second T20I. Jasprit Bumrah replaced Umesh Yadav while Rishabh Pant replaced Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Heading into the third T20I, the management has a few options to try out and see if the combination works out. Eyes will also be on if Harshal Patel is given a game or if will Bhuvi return. Rohit Sharma (C)
Rohit scored a breezy 46 that helped India win the second T20I. He has been batting with a different approach in the last few months and will continue to do the same as he said.

KL Rahul
Rahul scored just 10 in the shortened game. He scored 55 in the first T20I. He needs to get back form for his team.
Virat Kohli
Kohli has missed out in the first two games after scoring his maiden T20I ton in the Asia Cup against Afghanistan. He has the most runs against Australia in T20Is.
Suryakumar Yadav
SKY scored 46 in the first T20I and bagged a first-ball duck in the second. He has to get back amongst the runs in Hyderabad.
Hardik Pandya
Pandya bowled the first over in the second T20I. With the bat, he scored just nine off nine balls. He scored a career-best 71 in the first T20I.
Dinesh Karthik
Karthik batted above Rishabh Pant in the game at Nagpur. Both still can play together in the playing XI. He scored 10 off 2 balls to win the game for India.
Rishabh Pant (WK)
Pant can play as the specialist keeper in the XI. He can open the batting and also bat in the middle-order. With Hardik and Axar Patel in the XI, there becomes a space for an extra batter in the XI.
Axar Patel
Patel was the best Indian bowler against Australia so far. He picked up two for 13. So far, he has picked up five wickets from two matches.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar / Deepak Chahar
Either Bhuvi or Chahar can replace Harshal Patel in the XI. He was expensive in the second game going for 32 off his two overs. He has also conceded 31 sixes in 2022 alone.
Jasprit Bumrah
Bumrah picked up 1 for 23 on his return. Without any swing he was accurate with his yorkers and picked up the wicket of Australian skipper Aaron Finch. he needs to now play all the games leading up to the T20 World Cup.
Ravichandran Ashwin
Chahal has not looked penetrative with the ball in the series so far. This allows the management to test Ashwin in the decider on Sunday.
