IND vs AUS 3rd Test: 3 Player Battles To Watch Out For

Virat Kohli vs Nathan Lyon

The Kohli ve Lyon rivalry will continue in the third Test in Indore. The former Indian skipper was dismissed by Matthew Kuhnemann in the first innings and Todd Murphy in the second but it is the battle with Lyon that the fans love to watch. Kohli has scored 440 runs against Lyoon while the off-spinner has dismissed him seven times.

Ravindra Jadeja vs Steve Smith

Jadeja has dismissed Steve Smith five times in Test cricket. In the first Test in Nagpur, Jadeja bowled 64 balls to Smith giving away 23 runs and dismissing him once. With the Delhi pitch expected to help the spinners more than the pacers, Smith will be tested to the hilt by Jadeja.

He was the only Australian batter who played spin with some authority in the first two Test matches. However, his mode of dismissal in the second innings of the Delhi Test leaves a lot to be discussed. He was dismissed while trying to play the sweep shot to balls keeping low as he failed to read the bounce of trajectory of the deliveries.

Ravichandran Ashwin vs Steve Smith

Smith will also be up against Ravichandran Ashwin who dismissed him in the first innings for a duck. Ashwin has dismissed Smith eight times in his Test career with the latest dismissal being one in the second innings of the second TestSmith has just scored 71 runs in four innings in the series so far and if Australia wants to win the Indore Test he will need to play and tire down the Indian spinners.
