Pat Cummins, the captain of Australia, said on Saturday that his team is not concerned about its spin combination since it has enough options to assist veteran off-spinner Nathan Lyon in the high-profile four-match Test series against India that gets underway in Nagpur on Thursday.
In order to complement veteran Nathan Lyon for the Test series against India, Australia has sent Mitchell Swepson and finger spinner Ashton Agar.

Australia has sent Mitchell Swepson and finger spinner Ashton Agar to join Lyon. “We’ve got enough of options here (with) finger spin, wrist spin, left arm (pace),” Cummins told reporters.
“We’ll obviously pick the bowlers that we think are going to take 20 wickets. But how we split that up, we’re not 100 percent sure yet,” Pat Cummins Added.

Cummins stated that they would make a decision regarding their attack once they arrived in Nagpur because it would be very dependent on the weather. “I wouldn’t say it’s a given. Obviously, it’s very condition-dependent. Particularly in the first test, once we get to Nagpur we will see that,” said the pacer.
“We have not locked in any bowling line-up so far”: Pat Cummins
Pat Cummins added that their past team’s availability of Agar and Swepson’s participation in the previous two international tours had kept them in high standing. Travis Head, a middle-order hitter, provides Australia with another off-spin option in addition to the dedicated spinners.
“Travis Head also bowls really good offspin. We have to balance things. We have got plenty of variety there to choose from. We have not locked in any bowling line-up so far,” said Pat Cummins.
Meanwhile, Pat Cummins reminded everyone about their fast bowling attack. “I think sometimes, talking about a couple of spinners, you forget how good a lot of our fast bowlers have been in all conditions.
“Even some of the SCG wickets, there hasn’t been a lot in them for quick bowlers, but the quick bowlers have found a way,” Pat Cummins added.
