IND vs AUS: "Dad Always Used To Say That Test Cricket Is Real Cricket" - Ishan Kishan

Australian Cricket Team is all set to lock horns against India for the 4-match Test series in February. Aussies currently are riding high on confidence after thrashing the mighty Proteas by 2-0. Ishan Kishan most likely will replace the injured Rishabh Pant in the playing 11.
The Men in Blue would be well aware of the fact that Australia would be well prepared this time as compared to 2017. In 2017, the Aussies weren’t able to capitalize on a 1-0 lead. Mitchell Starc has been ruled out of the 1st Test due to an injury which is a massive blow for the team.

Ishan Kishan on Test Cricket
Ishan Kishan was having an interaction with Shubman Gill on a video posted by BCCI and was asked about Test Cricket. “Even when I was playing white-ball cricket for India, dad always used to say that Test cricket is real cricket because the batter’s skills are tested in this format. He was very happy when I informed him that I got selected in the Test team. He said, ‘Aise hi mehnat karte rehna hai (You have to keep working hard just like this),” said Ishan Kishan.

“When I found out that I was selected in the Test team, it felt really great because that is where real skills of a batter are tested. If I get an opportunity, I will surely want to do my best and help my team win,” he added.
Steep Road Ahead for Australia
Australia’s middle order isn’t that experienced to Indian conditions. We all witnessed how Australian batters succumbed to pressure against Sri Lanka in Sri Lanka. It is assumed that this Test series would be a dress rehearsal for the World Test Championship (WTC 2021-23) final.
There are chances that India may play with 3 spinners on turning tracks. A lot will depend on Ravichandran Ashwin to lead the spin department and at the same time, he can also play a handy knock at the back end of the innings which is invaluable in modern cricket.
