Australia came out all guns blazing as they scored  61 runs in the powerplay overs for the loss of no wickets. Hardik Pandya & Kuldeep Yadav took 3 scalps each. The Aussie batters got starts but couldn’t convert those where David Warner, Marnus Labuschagne & Marcus Stoinis played rash shots.

Axar Patel castles Sean Abbott’s Stumps

At the end of 44 overs, Australia’s score was 231-7 where Sean Abbott was on 19 runs in 19 balls & Ashton Agar’s score was 9 runs in 17 balls. Axar Patel was bowling the 45th over when both Sean & Ashton smashed him sixes in his 8th over  & on the last delivery of the over, Axar Patel crashed Sean Abbott’s stumps where he exposed his stumps & Axar knocked him over. Sean Abbott was dismissed for 26 runs in 23 balls where he struck 2 fours & 1 six. At the end of 45 overs, Australia’s score was 245-8.

Australia in deep trouble

The Aussies now would be aiming to play out the remaining 5 overs & get a score in excess of 270. All eyes would be on Mitchell Starc as he has the knack of playing a stunning cameo. Ashton Agar needs to bat a bit more responsibly as we have witnessed in the past, that he can smash the pacers.

India would be slightly disappointed as they allowed Agar & Sean to stitch a partnership of 42 runs in 41 balls. India need to restrict the mighty Aussies below 280 runs as we witnessed in the first 2 ODIs how Mitchell Starc created havoc with the new ball and there are chances that the pitch may deteriorate in the 2nd innings.
