Middle-Order: Azhar Ali, Babar Azam, M Rizwan

Azhar Ali played an outstanding knock of 185 runs in 358 balls in the last Test. He is brimming with confidence. Skipper Babar Azam, unfortunately, got run out after scoring 36 runs. He along with M Rizwan will continue to be vital cogs in the batting unit.

All-rounders: F Alam and Faheem Ashraf

F Alam didn’t get the opportunity to bat in the last Test match. The Pakistan cricketer is in decent touch with the bat. His presence adds depth to the batting unit. Besides, he is also likely to be used with the ball in the next Test.

Pakistan all-rounder, Faheem Ashraf has passed the rapid antigen Test and is all fit to be play the second Test. He is likely to replace Iftikhar Ahmed in the playing XI.

Bowlers: Nauman Ali, Sajid Khan, Hasan Ali, and Shaheen Afridi

Nauman Ali starred with the ball in the last Test match. He managed to pick 6 wickets in the second innings of the Test match, helping Pakistan pick all ten wickets of Australia.

Given that the pitch in Karachi is favourable to spinners, both Nauman Ali and Sajid Khan will be vital to the team’s fortunes in the Test match. Hasan Ali is also likely to be available for the second Test and might replace Shaheen Shah in the playing XI. Besides, Shaheen Shah Afridi completes the team.
