Australia and Pakistan are set to take on each other in the 2nd Test of the three-match series from 12th to 16th March 2022 at National Stadium in Karachi. The first Test resulted in a draw and both teams would be looking to win the second Test and take a lead in the series.

The first game saw little help for the bowlers. Pakistan batted first and managed to score a mammoth score of 476 runs. Imam Ul Haq opened the innings for the team and played a sensational knock of 157 runs in 358 balls.

Azhar Ali, on the other hand, managed to score 185 runs in 361 balls. Australia also batted brilliantly and managed 459 runs in the second innings. All the batsmen in the top four made valuable contributions with the bat.

The likes of Usman Khawaja (97 off 159), Warner (68 off 114), Labuschagne (90 off 158), and Steven Smith (78 off 196) all scored runs heavily. All are likely to make the cut for the next game as well. Surprisingly, in the three innings, Australia couldn’t pick a single wicket in the third innings and Pakistan notched 252 runs without a loss of a single wicket.

Abdullah Shafique scored 136 runs in 242 deliveries, while Imam Ul Haq made 111 off 223 balls. The curators faced a lot of criticism for making a dead pitch in the first Test. The pitch in the second Test at Karachi is likely to produce a result. On that note, here’s a look in detail at the pitch conditions at National Stadium in Karachi.

The second Test of the three-match series is scheduled to be played at National Stadium in Karachi. The batsmen love batting here and, once again, you could expect the team to post big totals on the board.

Having said that, the spinners will come into play as the Test match progresses to the second or third day. Both the teams are likely to play with at least two spinners in their playing XI for the second Test match.
