Afghanistan World Cup Schedule 2023: Full Schedule With PDF, Match List, Time Table, Date, Venue, and Time. Afghanistan earned a direct qualification for the ICC World Cup 2023 to be played in India from October 5 to November 19. The tournament will kick off in Ahmedabad and will also be concluded in Ahmedabad with the final on November 19.

Afghanistan finished fifth on the ODI Super League points table for the World Cup. They finished with 145 points after 24 games finishing above the likes of South Africa, Sri Lanka and West Indies, and Pakistan.

The team has had a consistent run in the recent past and victories against tougher teams. Recently Afghanistan played a series against Sri Lanka. They will be next playing an ODI and T20I series against Bangladesh in July.

Afghanistan lost all their nine league games in the World Cup last time around. This is something that the side will want to improve on. They have recently played against all the top teams in the T20 World Cup and the Asia Cup and hence should be better prepared for them when they face them in the World Cup.

They have a good core of spin bowlers led by Rashid Khan. The likes of Mujdeeb Ur Rahman, Noor Ahmad, and Mohammad Nabi add strength to it. Among the batters, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Ibrahim Zadran, and Najibullah Zadran are the important games in the team.

The ODI World Cup in India will be played across 10 venues in 46 days. Along with Ahmedabad, the other host cities include Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Dharamsala, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, and Pune. Hyderabad will host just three games.

Afghanistan will play nine league games kicking off their campaign against Bangladesh in Dharamsala on October 7. They go on to face the likes of India, England, Pakistan, New Zealand, and others.
