Commentary

The second Australia vs India Test is being played at the Adelaide Oval. The match got underway on Friday (November 6). It is a day-night Test and is being played with the pink ball. Team India are currently leading the series after registering a thumping win in the first Test played in Perth.

Even though the visitors were without their captain Rohit Sharma, they came up with a stunning performance to win the series-opener. India did not start the game on a good note as they were bowled out for just 150 runs. However, their bowlers turned the game on its head by delivering a memorable performance.

Riding on stand-in captain Jasprit Bumrah's five-wicket haul, India bowled out Australia for just 104 runs. In the second innings, India scored 487/6 (declared) thanks to centuries from Yashasvi Jaiswal and Virat Kohli. Set an improbable target of 533 runs, Australia were all out for only 238 runs in the second innings as India won the game by 295 runs.

High-flying India have received another huge boost with the return of their captain Rohit Sharma. Apart from Rohit, Shubman Gill is also set to return to the team after a finger injury forced him to miss the first Test. With form and momentum on their side, India will be looking to win the Adelaide Test as well.

Australia, on the other hand, will be desperate to turn things around after the heavy defeat in the first Test. They lost their last two Test series at home against India and are looking to avoid any further defeat. Australia will be without Josh Hazlewood for the second Test. The pacer has been sidelined with an injury and is likely to be replaced by Scott Boland.
