Pakistan Cricket Team Captain Babar Azam was on a roll in 2022. The right-handed batter amassed 679 runs with an average of 84.87 in 9 matches where he struck 5 half centuries & 3 centuries. Under his leadership, Pakistan won 3 out of 3 ODI Series where they defeated Australia, West Indies & Netherlands.

Babar Azam played a fantastic knock of 114 against Australia in the 2nd ODI when the team was chasing a mammoth target of 349 runs. The Men in Green were 1-0 down in the ODI Series and it required a helluva of effort to chase down that target where Babar smashed his fastest hundred in 73 balls.

Adam Zampa Terrific in 2022

Australian Cricket Team’s leg spinner Adam Zampa took 30 wickets in 12 matches. The leg spinner equaled his 2016 record of 30 wickets in the ODI. Zampa played a pivotal role in the 2nd ODI against New Zealand where he took 5 wickets when the team was defending 196 runs. The spinner throughout the year provided crucial breakthroughs for the team.

Sikandar Raza & Shai Hope Rise in 2022

Zimbabwe Cricket Team’s all-rounder Sikandar Raza had a phenomenal 2022. The right-handed batter scored 645 runs in 15 matches with an average of 49.61 where he scored 2 half-centuries and 3 centuries and also took 8 scalps.

Raza smashed back-to-back centuries against Bangladesh and took Zimbabwe took a historic triumph. Raza bamboozled the batters with his tricky variations and impeccable line & length.

West Indies Cricket Team’s opener Shai Hope continued his brilliance in 2022. The right-handed batter scored 709 runs in 21 matches where he smashed 3 centuries and 2 half-centuries with an average of 35.45. Shai Hope avoided an upset in the 1st ODI by smashing a knock of 119 runs in 130 balls against the Netherlands when the team was in a state of bother.
