Chattogram is all set to host the BAN vs SL 2nd ODI on March 15. After the T20I series was played in Sylhet, Chattogram now is the venue for the ODI series. The second ODI starts at 2 pm IST. 

Bangladesh won the first ODI by six wickets after losing the ODI series. They bowled out Sri Lanka for 255 chased down the target inside 45 overs and won with six wickets to spare. 

Bangladesh skipper Najmul Hosain Shanto scored his third ODI ton as he scored an unbeaten 122 and added a 165-run stand to take the side home. They were in a spot of bother at 92/4 with the wicket Maumudullah. They were able to negate the threat of Wanindu Hasaranga and Maheesh Theekshana keeping them wicketless and scoring 101 runs against them in nearly 20 overs.

The series is nicely poised with Bangladesh’s win in the first ODI. Sri Lanka now needs to win the last two games to win the series. Bangladesh have now won three of the last five ODI games against Sri Lanka. Shanto is leading Bangladesh in the absence of Shakib Al Hasan. 

Sri Lanka is led by Kusal Mendis. He was chosen as the new ODI skipper by the Lankan Cricket Board after the World Cup. SLC chose him as the new ODI skipper, Wanindu Hasaranga as the new T20I skipper, and Dhananjaya de Silva as the Test skipper. Media won this previous ODI series against Afghanistan but started this series with a loss.
