Delhi Capitals (DC) batter Tristan Stubbs yet again oozed his class with the bat at the backend in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. He made sure that his team finished the innings on high in the game against Mumbai Indians (MI), underway at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

Tristan Stubbs, who came to bat at No.5, went after the bowlers right from the start. He made sure that he didn't waste the start that the team got and helped Delhi Capitals end the innings on high. His best came in the 18th over against Luke Wood as he took fast bowlers to cleaners.

Tristan Stubbs started the over on high as he slammed four on the first ball. The right-hander shuffled across the line and scooped over Ishan Kishan for a boundary. He then did something similar on the next ball and made sure that he hit two fours on the first two balls.

On the third ball of the over, Tristan Stubbs went for the reverse scoop and slammed the ball for a gigantic six over over the third man. If this was not enough, he then went for another reverse scoop and slammed four in the same direction of the ground at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

On the fourth ball of the innings, Tristan Stubbs made room and slammed the slower ball wide of deep mid-wicket. He outsmarted the bowlers and after that made sure that he closed the over on high to put his team in the driver's seat.

Tristan Stubbs pulled the last ball with brute power and hit a boundary on the last ball of the over. He thumped the ball towards the deep mid-wicket and completed 26 runs in the over against Luke Wood at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

Tristan Stubbs ended with the innings of unbeaten 48 runs off 25 balls and made sure that Delhi Capitals posted a gigantic total on the board. Based on the brutal cameo by him, the home team posted a total of 257 runs on the board, which is their highest-ever total in IPL.

That’s my role, go out there and score as many as I can - Jake Fraser-McGurk

Jake Fraser-McGurk was one of the main reasons behind Delhi Capitals posting a massive total on the board. The batter played a sensational innings of 84 runs off just 27 balls. He batted with a strike rate of over 311 and also hit 11 fours and 6 sixes in his innings.

Jake Fraser-McGurk talked about his innings, saying that it is his role to go after the bowlers and get as many runs as possible. He talked about how he generates power. While speaking to broadcasters after the game, he explained:

"That’s my role, go out there and score as many as I can and get the team off to a nice start. Not at all, if I get ones and twos it’s probably off the last ball of the over or if I mis-hit it. It’s something I’ve always had, getting that base right and having the right stance. There’s a lot of timing involved in it. The ones that you mis-hit, you need to have a strong core, upper body and glutes as well," he concluded.
