India’s skipper Rohit Sharma would be keen to make a mark against Australia in the WTC 2021-23 final which is scheduled on 7th June (Wednesday) at The Oval. Rohit Sharma was one of the standout performers in the BGT 2023 but the conditions would be different.
It won’t be wrong to say that it would be a battle between the pace attacks as both sides have got deadly attacks and can rattle the opponent on the given day and with the Duke ball which keeps bowlers in the game for long periods of time.

Can’t say anything about combinations today- Rohit Sharma
Rohit Sharma was having an interaction with the reporters ahead of the match against Australia and the skipper gave a perfect response when asked about the team’s combination. Rohit pointed out that the pitch changes quite quickly and would wait how the track fares.
“Can’t say anything about combinations today. Pitch and condition keep changing. The message for all the boys is that they should be ready,” said Rohit Sharma.
“I have not said that Ashwin is not going to play. The pitch actually changes quite a bit today. And will see that tomorrow as well and then will see who gets into playing XI,” he added.
We don’t think what has happened in past in ICC tournaments- Rohit Sharma
Rohit made it clear that the side doesn’t want to look at what happened in the past in ICC tournaments. Rohit was quite furious after asking about the side’s failure in ICC events and said that the same question was asked during the 2022 T20 WC.
“We don’t think about what has happened in past in ICC tournaments. Don’t think we should be reminded every time. Last year when we were in Australia for the T20 world cup we were asked this same question,” said Rohit Sharma.
During that time also and I responded that players know when India won and when we haven’t. So, thinking about that I don’t think it’s fair. You have to focus on what is this situation now and how we can perform better,” he added.
