Bengaluru is all set to host the IND vs AUS 5th T20I on Sunday, December 3. The match concludes the five-match series with India ahead by 3-1. The Men in Blue won the fourth T20I by 20 runs and would like to end the series on a high.

The T20I series has been a good one so far for this young Indian team. The selectors selected the squad keeping an eye on the T20 World Cup 2024 in June and so far the players have stood up. After the glitch in the third T20I, the Indian bowlers came back strongly as they defended 174 in the fourth T20I. Avesh Khan defended 31 in the final over.

For Australia, it was yet another T20I series defeat against India in India. They also tried out some new players in the series. The series was more of a dress rehearsal for the T20 World Cup next year and the Aussie management should have identified the players who can do the job for them.

After the third T20I, Glenn Maxwell, Steve Smith, Josh Inglish, Adam Zampa and Marcus Stoinis returned home. Meanwhile, Ben McDermott, Josh Philippe, Ben Dwarshuis and Chris Green joined the squad in India. For India, Deepak Chahar and Shreyas Iyer made comebacks. While Chahar joined the squad ahead of the third ODI, Iyer will be available for the final two matches. He will also take over vice-captaincy from Ruturaj Gaikwad. The pacer picked up two wickets in his return game while Iyer scored just 8.

So far 16 T20Is have been played at the Chinnaswamy with six matches won by the team batting first while nine won chasing. Chasing is the way to go at this venue given the small ground dimensions and the batting-friendly nature of this wicket. Dew is also expected to play a crucial role in winter setting in across India.

Speaking about the weather conditions, the weather conditions will be a little cloudy in the morning with the temperature around 26 degrees. The match starts from 7 p,m in the evening with partly cloudy skies. There will be 100 percent cloud cover with 78 percent humidity. The temperature in the evening will be around 21 degrees. There is a negligible chance of rain as per Accuweather.
