Former spinner Harbhajan Singh has heaped praise on Team India after their thrilling win over Pakistan in the 19th game of the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup 2024.

India pulled off a remarkable victory against the arch-rivals to register their second win in as many games in the ongoing tournament. India had their back against the wall after they were bowled out for just 119 runs. Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf starred with the ball for Pakistan, taking three wickets each.

In reply, Pakistan were on 72 for 2 after 12 overs, needing 48 runs in as many balls with 8 wickets in hand. India were firmly on the back foot and were looking destined to end up on the losing side. However, the Rohit Sharma-led side bounced back in style and snatched victory from the jaws of defeat by restricting Pakistan to 113 for 7. Jasprit Bumrah, made the difference with the ball for India, taking 3 wickets for just 14 runs in 4 overs.

Following India's stunning victory over Pakistan, Harbhajan Singh was all praise for the Men in Blue. The former India spin spearhead stated that the Indian team is filled with players who excel under pressure and hailed India as one of the 'most experienced and formidable teams' in T20s.

"Our lineup is packed with players who excel under pressure, ready to navigate the toughest situations. In the T20 format, India stands out as one of the most experienced and formidable teams. The stunning bowling performances from Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya were crucial in securing that win against Pakistan," Harbhajan told Disney Hotstar.

Speaking further, Harbhajan also said that the ongoing T20 World Cup could see more nail-biting finishes, saying: "I'm eagerly looking forward to more nail-biting matches, even as we face this challenging pitch and weather conditions. This tournament promises to deliver some unforgettable cricketing moments, and I can't wait to see our team rise to the occasion."

Meanwhile, Team India will be in action next on Wednesday (June 12) when they take on co-hosts USA. A win over USA will seal a place for India in the Super 8s stage of the tournament.
