Veteran Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh has listed his base price at INR 2 crores too ahead of IPL 2021 auction. Harbhajan Singh remains one of the hottest prospects despite his recent inconsistencies and not playing the 2020 edition. The 103-Test veteran is also one of the most-capped players in IPL, winning titles with Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians.

However, the Super Kings decided to release him ahead of the 2021 season. The 40-year old has represented Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings in 160 games, taking 150 scalps at 26.55 with two four-wicket hauls and a solitary fifer. Harbhajan also remains handy with the bat, striking at 138.17 along with a half-century to his name.

Despite being one of the experienced players and potent cricketers, Harbhajan Singh might go unsold in the IPL 2021 auction. Harbhajan Singh last played international cricket back in March 2016 and last featured in an IPL match in the final of the 2019 edition. The finger spinner pulled out of the 13th edition of UAE, citing personal reasons as the yellow army failed to reach the playoffs for the first time.

Harbhajan Singh has remained out of favour in the national team due to the emergence of several competent spinners in their ranks. The likes of Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Ravichandran Ashwin, and Ravindra Jadeja have delivered telling performances from time to time to give the Indian team success.
