Royal Challengers Bangalore ace spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has added another feather to his cap in the ongoing IPL 2021 opener against the Mumbai Indians. Yuzvendra Chahal completed a tally of 100 matches in IPL history, having made his debut back in 2013. The Haryana-born leg-spinner is one of the most prolific spin-bowlers in the marquee T20 league’s history.

Yuzvendra Chahal started his IPL career with the Mumbai Indians and was part of their Champions League T20 history. The 30-year old was unfortunate not to get enough opportunities with the Mumbai Indians; however, he has become one of Virat Kohli’s go-to bowler. Currently, Chahal has 122 wickets in IPL at 22.32, keeping an economy rate of 7.67. He also has a couple of four-wicket hauls.

Contrastingly, Chahal has not been make an impact in the ongoing IPL opener against the Mumbai Indians in Chennai. He has delivered his full quota of four overs, conceding 41 runs and went wicketless, continuing his poor form from the international cricket. While the wrist-spinner has created chances, it hasn’t resulted in a breakthrough.

Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat Kohli won the toss and elected to field in the inaugural match in Chennai. The 32-year old elected to field first in a blockbuster clash and got the opposing skipper Rohit Sharma’s wicket after the defending champions Mumbai Indians made a sedate start.
