The wrist-spinner showcased his magic by taking two key wickets from Australian skipper Mitchell Marsh and all-rounder Glenn Maxwell and playing a key role in Team India’s remarkable win over the Kangaroos. Kuldeep conceded only 24 runs in his four-over spell, maintaining an impressive economy rate of 6.00 against Australia.

Meanwhile, during the post-match press conference, Arshdeep lauded Kuldeep's consistent ability to perform under pressure, especially highlighting his skill in managing difficult bowling conditions.

The Indian pacer has also emphasized that Kuldeep's role is crucial for the team’s success in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024, praising his knack for taking key wickets and consistently impressive performance in challenging situations.

Arshdeep Singh said at the post-match press conference: “Kuldeep is a champion spinner. Whenever he gets a chance, he delivers and he's always been in the wickets today as well he was bowling from the tough end, and even against the wind, he managed to bowl at around 6 an over and took crucial wickets. So, he is a really important player in our team and we are looking forward to taking all from him and we hope he takes a lot of wickets.”

Our motto is to adapt to the condition: Arshdeep Singh

Furthermore, Arshdeep has explained the Indian cricket team's bowling strategy, saying their motto is adapting to different conditions. He mentioned that while bowling from one end, the wind provided significant assistance, allowing the ball to swing effectively. However, bowling from the opposite end required running against the wind, which posed a different set of challenges for them.

The Indian pacer also revealed that the batters were targeting shots from the opposite side and were getting sixes due to the wind's influence. Arshdeep further mentioned that the key was to develop defensive strategies to minimize the impact of the wind while being more aggressive when bowling from the end which offered wind support.

Speaking about the match, Australia won the toss and invited India to bat first on the batting-friendly pitch of the Daren Sammy Cricket Ground. The Men in Blue posted 205/5 on the board against Australia, thanks to Rohit’s whirlwind knock of 92 runs off 41 balls, with Marcus Stoinis and Micthell Starc scalping two wickets each in St. Lucia on Monday, June 24.

Defending the total, India restricted the Australians to 181/7, as Travis Head's stunning knock of 76 runs on 43 balls went in vain, allowing the Men in Blue to qualify for the semifinals of the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024. The two semifinals of the tournament will be played on June 27.
