Lucknow Super Giants after a knockout out punch against Kolkata Knight Riders are on the road for the last three games of their league stage. They need to win all their remaining games to make the playoffs.
They next take on SRH in Hyderabad who lost their previous game against MI. This is the first meeting between the two sides this season. LSG have won all three games they have played against SRH in the last. However, heading into this game, they have multiple challenges to overcome and get themselves into the top four of IPL 2024.
They need an all-round better game plan in batting and bowling after being completely outplayed by KKR. The Super Giants were bundled out for just 137 against the Knight Riders and need a much better batting display on a friendlier surface in Hyderabad.

They need to make a change right at the top either by bringing in Quinton de Kock of Kyle Mayers who is yet to play a game this season. KL Rahul and Marcus Stoinis have been their two best batters this season but the others need to follow.
On the bowling front, they might need a few changes as well with Mayank Yadav ruled out and Mohsin Khan unlikely to play this game after picking up an injury.
LSG Playing 11 vs SRH - IPL 2024, Match 57
KL Rahul (C/WK)
Rahul will open the batting for LSG. He is their top run-getter so far with 431 runs from 11 games at a strike rate of 141.31 and an average of nearly 40.
Quinton de Kock / Kyle Mayers
One among Mayers or De Kock might open the batting with Rahul as they need the batting firepower at the top. The South African has scored just 236 runs this season in nine matches at an average of 26.22 while the West Indian is yet to play a game.
Marcus Stoinis
Stoinis should continue batting at three as LSG needs their batters to fire at the top. The all-rounder has scored 352 runs in 11 games striking at 153 and scored 36 off 21 balls against KKR.
Deepak Hooda
Hooda might bat at four. He failed in the last match against KKR but might be given a longer run in the XI. He is a flexible batter and can bat anywhere from three to seven.
Nicholas Pooran
Pooran can slot in at five. He missed out against KKR scoring 10 off 8 and was dismissed by Andre Russell. The southpaw has scored 315 runs this season with 23 sixes to his name.
Ayush Badoni
Badoni might slot in at six. He scored 15 off 12 balls against KKR. He scored a fifty earlier this season and has played a few important cameos for the Lucknow Super Giants.
Krunal Pandya
Pandya will slot in at seven. He bowled just two overs against KKR and went for 26 runs. He scored just five with the bat. He is out of the Indian team at the moment.
Ravi Bishnoi
Bishnoi will slot in at eight. He took 1 for 33 against KKR and took the wicket of Sunil Narine. So far he has taken just seven wickets in 11 games and needs to step up for his team in the remaining games.
Naveen-ul-Haq
Naveen should be one of the two specialist seamers in the XI. Against KKR, he went took three for 49 and bowled the best among all the bowlers. He has taken 10 wickets from seven games this season.
Yash Thakur
Yash Thakur will be one of the two Indian seamers in the XI. He has taken 11 wickets in nine games this season including a fifer. Since that fifer, he has not picked up wickets regularly. He took 1 for 46 this season.
Impact Sub: Yudhvir Singh / Krishnappa Gowtham
LSG should ideally use a bowling sub with their bowling firepower looking weak with the absence of Mayank Yadav and now Mohsin Khan. They have the seam option of Charak or the spin option of Gowtham, who is also a capable batter.
