No Immediate Plans To Shift Rishabh Pant, His Condition Has Improved Substantially, Says Close Family Aide

The health condition of the young India National Cricket Team wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant has improved substantially and there are no immediate plans to shift him to some other facility.

Rishabh Pant was badly injured in a road accident on Friday, December 30. The accident happened in the early hours of Friday when he was driving from New Delhi to Roorkee in Uttarakhand to pay a surprise visit to his family.

After the car accident, Pant was taken to Saksham Hospital Multispecialty and Trauma Centre for treatment. After the initial treatment, the decision was made to shift him to Max Hospital in Dehradun.

“There are no immediate plans to shift him anywhere as his condition has improved substantially since yesterday,” said Umesh Kumar who has been constantly with the family at the Max Hospital, as quoted by PTI.

“A plastic surgery on his forehead had been performed on Friday itself. Its first dressing was also done today,” he further said.

Also, he told that the BCCI doctors are in touch with Dehradun’s Max Hospital doctors and together they will make a decision on whether he should be taken elsewhere for the treatment of his ligament injury.

It has been told that Pant’s mother Saroj Pant and his sister Sakshi are with him at the hospital. Also, DDCA director Shyam Sharma, cricketer Nitish Rana and Bollywood actors Anil Kapoor and Anupam Kher were among those who met the wicketkeeper-batter at the hospital.

“He is being looked after well by the doctors here. The BCCI is also in touch with them taking updates on his condition. As of now, he will be kept here only,” DDCA director Shyam Sharma told reporters, as quoted by PTI.

Actor Anil Kapoor said that Rishabh Pant is doing fine while Anupam Kher said that Pant’s mother and all his relatives are also fine.

“He (Pant) is doing fine. We met him as fans. Let us pray that he recovers soon and we see him playing again,” actor Anil Kapoor told reporters after coming out of the hospital.

“Everything is fine. We met Pant, his mother and relatives, they are all fine. We made him laugh a lot,” Anupam Kher, who accompanied Kapoor, said.
