Chennai Super Kings (CSK) all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has sparked widespread speculation by deactivating his verified Instagram account. The unexpected move has intensified rumours about his future with Chennai Super Kings, especially amid reports of a potential blockbuster trade ahead of the mini-auction.

Chennai Super Kings are reportedly close to finalising a major trade that would send Ravindra Jadeja to Rajasthan Royals in exchange for Sanju Samson ahead of the mini-auction, set to take place in December.

The Jaipur-based franchise has been in negotiations with the Super Kings over the proposed trade.

An official announcement is yet to be made. If confirmed, Jadeja would return to the Royals after 16 years, having been part of their squad during the inaugural IPL seasons in 2008 and 2009.

Ravindra Jadeja’s Instagram Disappearance Fuels Speculation Over CSK Exit

Speculation over Ravindra Jadeja’s exit from Chennai Super Kings grabbed attention after fans discovered that his verified Instagram account, royalnavghan, had disappeared.

The all-rounder is known for his frequent social media activity and posts about his bond with the Chennai franchise during IPL seasons. However, following reports linking him to a possible trade involving Sanju Samson, fans rushed online to reach out, only to find his account inactive.

It is still unclear whether Jadeja deactivated or deleted his profile, or if the disappearance was the result of a hack, but the timing has only added fuel to the growing trade rumours.

Ravindra Jadeja Has Been Part of the Chennai Super Kings Setup Since 2012

Ravindra Jadeja has been part of the Chennai Super Kings setup since 2012. He remained a key member of CSK’s core group through the 2018 and 2025 mega auctions. The all-rounder took over as captain in 2022, but his stint was short-lived following a poor start to the season.

Over the years, Jadeja has played a pivotal role in three of CSK’s five IPL title triumphs, including his unforgettable final-over heroics against the Gujarat Titans in the 2023 final. He has scored 3,260 runs and taken 170 wickets in 254 matches.

For CSK, he is their leading wicket-taker with 143 scalps and shares the record for the most Player-of-the-Match awards (16) alongside MS Dhoni. In the 2025 season, he managed 301 runs in 14 innings and claimed 10 wickets. Jadeja retired from T20Is following India’s 2024 World Cup victory.

Chennai Super Kings Created Unwanted History in IPL 2025

The IPL 2025 season was one of the Chennai Super Kings’ most disappointing campaigns, as the five-time champions finished at the bottom of the points table for the first time in their history. Notably, the team struggled to find momentum throughout the tournament.

Ruturaj Gaikwad suffered an elbow injury midway through the season, which forced MS Dhoni to return as captain. However, his leadership couldn’t change the team’s fortunes, as CSK managed to secure just four wins from 14 matches.

As the team looks ahead to the upcoming auction, rebuilding and regaining form will be their priority. Meanwhile, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, led by Rajat Patidar, clinched their maiden IPL title in 2025.
