Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will look to bounce back when they face Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the 28th match of IPL 2025. The RR vs RCB match is scheduled to be played on Sunday (April 13) at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru will be hoping that their impressive away form continues this season and they register yet another win. While they have lost both of their home games so far, they have won all three away games. In their last game, RCB faced Delhi Capitals at home and suffered a 6-wicket defeat.
Batting first, Royal Challengers Bengaluru could score only 163/7 in 2o overs. With the ball, they had reduced DC to 58 for 4 before an unbeaten 111-run stand between KL Rahul and Tristan Stubbs guided the visitors to an impressive win.
With Royal Challengers Bengaluru now looking to get back to winning ways, we are taking a look at the RCB Playing 11 for their game against RR.
RCB Playing 11 vs Rajasthan Royals- IPL 2025, Match 28:
Openers: Philip Salt, Virat Kohli
Phil Salt and Virat Kohli are set to be the openers in the Royal Challengers Bengaluru Playing 11 for the upcoming game. They gave their team a good start in the last game and will be eyeing a similar performance against RR as well.
Salt was the aggressor early on as he and Kohli added 61 runs in less than 4 overs for the first wicket. Salt departed for 37 runs off just 17 balls. Kohli, on the other hand, scored 22 runs off 14 balls.
Middle-order: Devdutt Padikkal, Rajat Patidar (c), Liam Livingstone, Jitesh Sharma (wk), Tim David, Krunal Pandya
Devdutt Padikkal will look to bounce back and score big against his former team after scoring just 1 run in the last match. Captain Rajat Patidar will also look to lead his team from the front by playing a captain's knock. He scored 25 runs off 23 balls in the last outing.
Liam Livingstone had a disappointing outing with the bat, too. The England star was out for just 4 runs and will be keen to make amends. Jitesh Sharma could not impress with the bat either and was out for only 3 runs.
Tim David played a fine cameo for Royal Challengers Bengaluru that helped them cross the 150-run mark. The Australia star smashed 30 runs off just 20 balls and will look to impress with the bat once again.
Krunal Pandya is set to be the main allrounder in the RCB Playing 11. He scored a run-a-ball 18 and will look to do better with the bat. With the ball, Krunal delivered two overs and conceded 19 runs without taking a wicket.
Bowlers: Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Josh Hazlewood, Yash Dayal
Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Yash Dayal, and Josh Hazlewood are set to be the three pacers in the RCB Playing 11. Bhuvneshwar was the pick of the RCB bowlers in the last game, taking 2 wickets for 26 runs. On the other hand, Dayal picked up 1 wicket for 45 runs while Hazlewood conceded 40 runs in just 3 overs without taking a wicket.
With the pitch in Jaipur set to favour the spinners, Suyash Sharma is likely to be used as an Impact Player once again. The leg-spinner played a similar role in the last game as well and performed well. He conceded 25 runs in his 4 overs and dismissed the DC captain Axar Patel.
