Young Indian leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi has showered rich praise on Virat Kohli, who is currently gearing up to make a comeback in the national colors on the Australia tour next month. Having already retired from both Test and T20I cricket, Virat Kohli will be seen only in action in ODIs.

Recently, Ravi Bishnoi highlighted the incredible impact Virat Kohli has had on Indian cricket. The youngster praised the former Indian captain for the level of fitness he brought to the team, his unmatched batting skills, and his ability to chase down targets under pressure.

Kohli may not have won an ICC title as India captain, but Bishnoi feels legends like Dhoni and Rohit, despite their trophies, can’t match the sheer dominance and intensity he brought to the team.

Ravi Bishnoi said on the Game Changers Podcast, “What Virat Kohli bhaiya has done for the country, no one even comes close. The level of fitness he brought to Indian cricket, his unbelievable batting, and what he has done while chasing, we will always remember it and never be able to forget it. I mean, the team he has built for the country is top-notch. There is no one like him.”

Virat Kohli brought a fitness revolution in Indian Cricket

Kohli's commitment to fitness has inspired the fitness culture in Indian cricket. His rigorous training routines and disciplined lifestyle have not only enhanced his own performance but also inspired players across the world and the next generation to raise their game on and off the field.

The dashing right-handed batter’s batting record across the formats is phenomenal. In ODI cricket, Virat has scored over 14181 runs, including more than 51 centuries and 74 fifties, making him one of the greatest ODI batters the game has ever seen.

He has over 9230 runs with 30 centuries and 31 fifties to his name in 121 Test matches for India. In T20 Internationals, Kohli has scored more than 4188 runs with one century and 38 fifties to his name to show his class, composure, and consistency across the formats for India.

Virat Kohli's mastery in run chases

Virat is also known as the ultimate chase master, and he justified the tag with countless match-winning innings while chasing. He holds the record for the most centuries in successful run chases in ODIs, with 28 to his name.

Most recently, Kohli composed an 84-run innings that led India to a four-wicket win in the Champions Trophy 2025 semi-final against Australia. His leadership, dedication, and ability to perform when it matters most have set new benchmarks for the team.

Kohli will be next seen in action in the upcoming three-match ODI series against Australia next month. It is being said that the upcoming Australia tour will be his last one with Team India.
