Shahid Afridi’s shameful ‘Chai’ retort to Shikhar Dhawan's Kargil reminder exposes his real mindset

Things are turning from bad to worse between former India National Cricket Team batter Shikhar Dhawan and former Pakistan National Cricket Team all-rounder Shahid Afridi. This comes after the terrorist attack that took place in the Pahalgam region of Jammu and Kashmir.

The tragic incident in Pahalgam saw as many as 28 people lose their lives. People from different parts of the country were there enjoying their vacation, and it was then that terrorists opened fire on them, and many innocents were killed.

Following this, India has curtailed ties with Pakistan, and many cricketers also shared their take on the incident, openly raising their voices to stop playing with the Men in Green. Also, a few ex-players from Pakistan condemned the attack.

You are inefficient and useless if you couldn't provide security to the people - Shahid Afridi on Pahalgham attack

But Shahid Afridi recently came up with the shocking statement. The former Pakistan National Cricket Team skipper blamed the Indian Army for the attack, saying that they are inefficient and useless as they couldn't provide security to the people. Speaking on a TV channel, he had said:

"Tum logon ki 8 lakh ki fauj hai Kashmir mein aur yeh ho gaya. Iska matlab nalayak ho, nikamme ho na tum log ki security de nahi sake logon ko (You have an 8,00,000-strong army in Kashmir and this still happened. It means you are inefficient and useless if you couldn't provide security to the people)."

Replying to this, Shikhar Dhawan came up with the befitting reply to Shahid Afridi, saying that the former Pakistan captain should focus on working for the betterment of his nation rather than passing these comments. He said:

However, Shahid Afridi also didn't stop after that, as he came up with a distasteful reply to Shikhar Dhawan. He said that he should keep aside the wins and losses and allow him to host him for a cup of tea. He stated:

The #Fantastictea jab was in reference to Indian Air Force Pilot Abhinandan Varthaman, who was captured by Pakistani forces in 2019 when one of the planes was shot down by their Air Force.
