SL vs PAK Weather Report Live Today And Pitch Report Of Galle Stadium – SL vs PAK 1st Test 2023. Galle is all set to host the first SL vs PAK Test match from July 16-20. The second Test match will be played in Colombo from July 24-28. The Test series is a part of the WTC 2023-35 cycle.

Both teams have played 57 Test matches with Pakistan winning 21 matches and Sri Lanka 17. The last time both these teams played a test series in 2022 it ended in a draw.

Sri Lanka will be led by Dimuth Karunaratne. There are a few concerns regarding his fitness but he should be fine to start the first Test. He has a hamstring injury which might prevent him from playing the Test match. In case he misses out Angelo Mathews might Sri Lanka in Galle.

The side has announced the squad only for the first Test. A source close to Sri Lanka Cricket informed the newspaper that Dimuth Karunaratne will undergo a fitness Test before the first Test. In the announced fit, he will play the Galle Test match.

Pakistan will be led by Babar Azam. This WTC cycle is very important for his captaincy as he lost to Australia and England at home in the previous WTC cycle. With Mohammad Rizwan, Shan Masood, Sarfaraz Khan, and Shaheen Afridi, Pakistan would bank on experienced players to deliver in the first Test. Recently, Pakistan played a two-day practice Test match with the Sri Lanka Cricket Presidents XI team which ended in a draw.

India are currently leading the WTC cycle with 100 PCT point after their dominating victory over West Indies In Dominica. Australia and England are placed second and third respectively. Five of the top nine Test teams are yet to start their WTC cycle.

Talking about the weather conditions in Galle for the first Test, There will be cloud cover on all five days with rain threat on four of the five days of the Test match. The test match starts at 10 am local time with periods of cloud spells expected. The temperature will be between 30-32 degrees.
