Time is fast running out for SRH to revive their dwindling campaign. With just 1 win from the first 5 games, last year's runners-up are languishing at the bottom of the points table. They have lost four games in a row and will be desperate to return to winning ways by registering a victory in the upcoming game.
PBKS, on the other hand, are enjoying a fine campaign. They have won three of their first four games and will look to bolster their playoff chances by winning the upcoming game as well. So, as SRH and PBKS gear up for the game, here is the full SRH vs PBKS match preview.

SRH vs PBKS key battles:
Priyansh Arya vs Mohammed Shami:
This is the battle that could very well decide the fate of the PBKS innings. Priyansh Arya is coming into this game on the back of a sensational century against Chennai Super Kings in the previous game. The youngster truly announced his arrival in the tournament by smashing a 39-ball hundred, the fastest IPL ton by an Indian since 2010.
Priyansh will be eyeing another big knock with the bat. SRH, on the other hand, will be hoping that their star pacer Mohammed Shami strikes with the new ball and does not let the PBKS opener settle down.
Travis Head vs Arshdeep Singh:
This will be another battle that could play a decisive role in the outcome of the match. Travis Head will be desperate to play a good knock after failing to live up to expectations in recent times. The southpaw scored just 8 runs in the previous game against the Gujarat Titans and will look to make amends.
PBKS will be relying on their pace spearhead Arshdeep Singh to ensure that the SRH opener does not last long at the crease. Head can take the game away from PBKS in a matter of a few overs, and the onus will be on Arshdeep to ensure that the Australia star departs cheaply.
Heinrich Klaasen vs Glenn Maxwell:
The battle between Heinrich Klaasen and Glenn Maxwell is also likely to be a very important one. Klaasen's batting could play a decisive role in the match and SRH will be hoping that their star batter lives up to the expectations in the upcoming game.
PBKS, on the other hand, could rely on Glenn Maxwell once again for an important breakthrough. Maxwell has a knack of picking crucial wickets and has already taken three wickets in the ongoing tournament. He has dismissed Shubman Gill, Rishabh Pant and Rachin Ravindra so far this season.
SRH vs PBKS Key Players:
SRH- Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma, Heinrich Klaasen, Pat Cummins, and Mohammed Shami will be the key players for SRH.
PBKS - Priyansh Arya, Shreyas Iyer, Shashank Singh, Marco Jansen, and Arshdeep Singh will be the key players for PBKS.
SRH vs PBKS Weather Report:
There is a 5-6 percent chance of rain during the match time in Hyderabad. So, even though the entire game is unlikely to be washed out, it could be interrupted for a brief period due to rain. The temperature is expected to hover in the late 20s throughout the game.
Conclusion:
SRH will be desperate to win the upcoming game and get their campaign back on track, while PBKS will be looking to extend their impressive start to the campaign.
