Vaibhav Suryavanshi, on Monday (April 28), created history as he scored a stunning century for the Rajasthan Royals against the Gujarat Titans in the ongoing IPL 2025.

The southpaw, who turned 14 last month, became the youngest-ever player to score a century in men's T20. His 35-ball century also made him the fastest Indian to score an IPL ton. He scored 101 runs off 38 balls with the help of 7 fours and 11 sixes.

Suryavanshi's coach speaks

With Suryavanshi receiving praise from all over for his extraordinary knock, his coach, Brajesh Jha, also expressed his delight over the performance. Jha said that the youngster has made everyone proud with his heroics, saying:

Vaibhav Suryavanshi powers Rajasthan Royals to much-needed win:

Thanks to Vaibhav Suryavanshi's whirlwind century, Rajasthan Royals thrashed Gujarat Titans by eight wickets and ended their five-match losing streak. The win has kept their slim playoff chances alive. The Royals are presently at the eighth spot in the points table with 3 wins from 10 games.

Batting first, the Titans finished their innings with an imposing total of 209/4. Captain Shubman Gill led his team from the front once again, scoring 84 runs off 50 balls. Jos Buttler impressed with the bat as well, scoring an unbeaten 26-ball 50 against his former team.

Royals script a historical chase

In reply, the Royals chased down the total in less than 16 overs and by losing only two wickets. The architect of the win was Suryavanshi. He took the Titans' bowlers to the cleaners right from the word go. He and his opening partner, Yashasvi Jaiswal, pretty much put the game to bed by sharing a 166-run stand for the opening wicket.

While Suryavanshi departed for 101 runs, Jaiswal remained till the end, scoring an unbeaten 70 to ensure that the Royals crossed the finishing line without too many hiccups. The Royals will be in action next on May 1 when they take on high-flying Mumbai Indians.
