Former India skipper MS Dhoni, who is currently going through a lean patch, is likely to represent Jharkhand in the second leg of the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy 2018-19.
As a result, Dhoni is in line to make a comeback to domestic cricket after missing a full year. As per reports in Mumbai Mirror, there are indications that MS Dhoni might pad up for Jharkhand in the second round.
Meanwhile, Jharkhand, the state Dhoni represents, has a good chance of making it to the second leg. The team led by young Ishan Kishan, now have six wins from eight games and will go through if they win the last game against Services. Should they qualify, MS Dhoni might turn up for his state to gear up for the ODI series against Windies.

On his personal front, Dhoni had a dismal tour of England and subsequently failed in the Asia Cup. His inability to score quick runs in needs has attracted criticism from all corners. Thus he will look to get some runs under his belt before resuming his national duty.
MS Dhoni last represented Jharkhand in the 2017-18 season.
Under his leadership, they made it to the semifinals of the tournament only to lose to Bengal to bow out. In 2016/17 season, he traveled with the Ranji Trophy team as a mentor. He also met MSK Prasad, chief of the selection panel, during the tournament and it was during the same time that he stepped down as the captain of India’s limited-overs team. Furthermore, in the 2017-18 season, he was unavailable for selection and expressed the same to authority.

This season, though, the scenario could be different as the matches that he would play for Jharkhand will give him much-needed match practice before the limited-overs series against West Indies that starts October 21.
India will play five ODIs and three T20Is against Windies after the completion of Test series.
