In the chase of 220 runs, after the South Africa National Cricket Team lost both openers early, skipper Aiden Markram looked to steady the innings. He took some time to get going and, after that, played some big shots in his innings, posing a threat to the India National Cricket Team bowlers.

Markram, in particular, tried to take the attack to Varun Chakravarthy and slammed him for big sixes in the 10th over the innings. The Proteas skipper attempted to finish the over on high as he tried to hit another big hit on the last ball of the over but that didn't pay off.

Tilak Varma, Abhishek Sharma take India to the massive total of 219 runs in third T20I against South Africa

Earlier in the day, India came up with a gigantic effort with the bat. Asked to bat first, they didn't have a great start as Sanju Samson registered his second consecutive duck. However, Abhishek Sharma (50) and Tilak Varma (107*) made up for the early loss.

The duo took the attack to the South African bowlers and slammed 107 runs together for the second wicket. After Abhishek got out, Tilak carried his bat through and ended up hitting a sensational ton. This was his maiden ton in international cricket, and it came when the team needed it most.

However, India kept losing wickets at the other end, but a brutal finish by debutant Ramandeep Singh (15) took India to a total of 219 for six. The series between the two teams is levelled at 1-1 after two games.
