USA opening batter Steven Taylor directed a questionable gesture toward Azam Khan during the co-hosts' clash against Pakistan on June 6 in Texas.

The match, which took place at the Grand Prairie Stadium, was one of the most shocking ties in the history of ICC T20 World Cups. USA, featured in a T20 World Cup for the first time, defeated the 2009 champions Pakistan most dramatically.

The result of this match was not decided in the regulation game time across innings with the game going to the Super Overs.

With Pakistan being a much more reputed and experienced side, they were expected to handle the nerves better and win. However, fate had planned something else for them as those crucial 12 balls went in favour of the USA. After Mohammad Amir leaked 18 runs in Pakistan's bowling turn, the batters amassed as much as 13 runs and lost by 5 runs.

This was perhaps the biggest setback that the Pakistani team could have ever faced and the loss underlined just how poor Pakistan cricket has become. But even before the result was determined, a moment from the match which was not caught at first, is now going viral. As mentioned above, it includes USA's Steven Taylor and middle-order power hitter Azam Khan.

What gesture did Steven Taylor make towards Azam Khan?

It was the 13th over of the 1st innings in Texas and Azam Khan was on his way to enter the crease and replace Shadab Khan, who was dismissed for 40.

As Azam Khan was approaching the middle, he was seen doing the regular stretchers to warm himself up and steady Pakistan's ship. The Men in Green were 4 wickets down for 98 runs when Azam entered the crease. But while he was on his way, the middle-order batsman was mocked in the background by United States' opening batsman Steven Taylor.

The US batter was first seen looking towards his teammate, trying to get his attention towards Azam Khan's warm-up drills. A few seconds later, Steven Taylor mocked Azam with a questionable gesture, which is now going viral all over the social media platform - X.

Steven Taylor's gesture is quite hard to explain but his message was pretty evident. He either tried to convey that 'Azam Khan is going to thrash USA bowlers' or 'Azam is going to get himself out quickly today'. The second thought, also called prophecy, seems to be the message Taylor wanted to express to his teammate.

Why? Because Azam Khan got out in the very first ball that he faced. Left-arm off-spinner Noshtush Kenjige claimed the 25-year-old's wicket with an easy leg-before wicket attempt which looked plum in the first look itself.

Azam Khan's golden duck against the USA that day was the batter's 4th duck overall in T20 cricket and second on the trot.
