India batter Suryakumar Yadav yet again failed to stand up tall for his team in the big match as he bagged a failure in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024 final against South Africa. The summit clash between the teams is taking place at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown Barbados.
India won the toss and opted to bat first and they were off to a flying start with the bat as Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma hit a flurry of boundaries upfront. However, after that South Africa made a sensational comeback, thanks to Keshav Maharaj, who made twin strikes in the second over to put the Men in Blue on the backfoot.
After Rishabh Pant got out, Suryakumar Yadav walked out to bat at No.4 and it was expected that he would set the stage on fire but that wasn't the case. The batter bagged a low total and India all of a sudden came under pressure, reeling at 34/3 in the high-pressure game.
Suryakumar Yadav perished to Kagiso Rabada in the 5th over. The fast bowler bowled a length delivery on off-stump, to which the India batter shuffled across a touch and picked it to pull it away towards deep backward square leg. He didn't get the proper hold of it but it seemed that it would clear the ropes.
Suryakumar Yadav hit the shot into the wind and it floated down to Heinrich Klaasen who was stationed there. The South African player ran to his left and tumbled before taking it low and sending the batter packing for a low score. He celebrated weirdly after taking the catch.
As Suryakumar Yadav got out, the entire South Africa team including Kagiso Rabada was pumped up. The Proteas realized the importance of the wicket and were cock-a-hoop as they removed the third Indian wicket inside the powerplay.

Suryakumar Yadav ended with an innings of 3 runs off 4 balls. The batter looked scratchy right from the start as he earlier in his innings survived a close call. This was the other time he failed to set the stage on fire on the big stage and faced a lot of criticism for his poor outing.
Virat Kohli holding the fort for India in the T20 World Cup 2024
It has been Virat Kohli once again who has stood tall for his team in the big clash in the final of the T20 World Cup 2024. The batter, who has struggled to get going in the entire tournament, has looked in sensational touch in the ongoing game against South Africa in Barbados.
Virat Kohli started off the innings on a pretty high note as he slammed three boundaries in the first over and after that hasn't looked back. The right-hander has looked unfazed by the wickets falling at the other end and has batted with a positive mindset.
Along with him, Axar Patel too has been sensational with the bat. The all-rounder was promoted up the order and has repaid the faith of the team management. He along with Virat Kohli has held the fort for the team and would be keen to take their team to a big total.
