Pakistan National Cricket Team batter Imam-ul-Haq came up with a massive statement. He accused the team management and the board of treating him unfairly.

Imam-ul-Haq's comments during a live TV show when he was asked to give one-word answers. The left-hander was first asked if he was treated unfairly by the team, to which he came up with "Yes". After that, he was asked if he would prove to be a game-changer captain for Pakistan in the current situation, replying to which he said "No".

Imam then agreed with the host, who asked if Inzamam-ul-Haq was a better captain than Misbah-ul-Haq. In the end, he was asked if Babar Azam should leave the opening spot and get married. The opening batter burst into laughter but went on to say "No".

Imam-ul-Haq has been dropped from the Pakistan team

Imam's future with the Pakistan National Cricket Team looks very very bleak. The opening batter, who used to be a regular member of the team in the Tests and ODIs, has been completely sidelined, and there are very few chances that he might make a comeback, especially with others around the corner.

Imam-ul-Haq was dropped from the team following a series of low scores. He came under the firing line and was asked to warm the bench during the ICC World Cup 2023. He started the tournament for the team but couldn't get going as he failed in the first few games.

With Pakistan also struggling to get going, Imam-Ul-Haq was made the scapegoat and was dropped from the team. Abdullah Shafique was included in his place, and the right-hander, along with Fakhar Zaman, cashed in the opportunities, closing the door for Imam.

While his place in the ODI team came under scanner, things got worse for him when he was dropped from the Test as well. The batter got dropped during the series against the Australia National Cricket Team, which Pakistan went on to lose by the margin of 3-0.

Imam played the first two games and then struggled to play the short ball before he was replaced by Saim Ayub in the XI for the last games of the series. Since then, he hasn't made the cut into the team in the longest format of the game.

Imam-ul-Haq was last seen in action during the Champions Cup 2024

Imam was last seen in action during the Champions Cup 2024 in the Pakistan domestic circuit. He had a decent outing with the bat for the Lions and ended the tournament as the leading run-getter for his team. He played some vital knocks for his team and made his case strong for the comeback.

Imam played 4 games and scored 212 runs at an average of 53. He also slammed three half-centuries in the tournament with the best of 78. His performance surely would have made selectors think about him, especially with the Champions Trophy around the corner.
