Watch: Shaheen Afridi’s stunning tribute to his new-born son, does ‘baby’ celebration after picking wicket

Pakistan National Cricket Team fast bowler Shaheen Afridi came up with a new wicket-taking celebration following the birth of his child. He unveiled the celebration during the ongoing first Test against the Bangladesh National Cricket Team, which is taking place at the Rawalpindi International Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi.

Shaheen Afridi along with his wife Ansha Afridi on Saturday (24th August) welcomed a baby boy. The fast bowler so far hasn't been able to meet his son as he is on national duty and is putting hard yards for the team in the ongoing Test against Bangladesh National Cricket Team.

But the fast bowler made sure that he celebrated the birth of his child in style. Afridi, who struggled to get going in the last two days with the ball, made sure that he came up with a great effort on Day 4 of the ongoing Test against the Bangladesh National Cricket Team.

Shaheen Afridi picked his first wicket on Day 4 of the game as he removed Hasan Mahmud and brought his team back into the game. He made the ball talk and ensured that he did end the innings without having a wicket under his belt.

Shaheen Afridi bowled a full delivery at the stumps to which Hasan Mahmud attempted the big shot. He tried to slog through the line and got a thick outside edge which was caught by keeper Mohammad Rizwan. The hard work paid off for him as he got his first wicket of the day.

But what caught the attention of many was a celebration of Shaheen Afridi after he took the wicket. The fast bowler came up with a baby celebration for his newborn child and it was loudly encouraged by the crowd, who acknowledged the premier pacer for his celebration.

Hasan Mahmud couldn't get a run under his belt as he bagged an 18-ball duck. With his wicket, Bangladesh National Cricket Team lost their 8th for 534 runs. However, after his wicket, Pakistan National Cricket Team bowlers chipped in with quick wickets.

Afridi came up with another wicket for his team and made sure that he ended up with two wickets under his belt. The fast bowler removed Mehidy Hasan Miraz, who was going great guns and extending the lead for the team.

Shaheen Afridi bowled a full delivery angled across, to which Mehidy went hard on the drive and got an outside edge. The ball flew to the second slip and Agha Salman made no mistake. The fast bowler was spot-on with his line and length right in the spell.

Mehidy Hasan ended with an innings of 77 runs and after that, Naseem Shah picked the last wicket as Bangladesh National Cricket Team got all out for 565 runs. They took the lead of 117 runs.
