Shimron Hetmyer is quickly making a name for himself with his ability to pull off brilliant catches in the deep. Earlier this season, he took a stunning catch to dismiss MS Dhoni that helped the Rajasthan Royals beat the Chennai Super Kings.
On Wednesday (April 16), the West Indies star pulled off a similar catch to send back KL Rahul and give his team a crucial breakthrough during the game between Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
Fraser McGurk and Porel lead the charge
Asked to bat first, Delhi Capitals were off to a quick start with Jake Fraser-McGurk and Abishek Porel adding 33 runs in the first two overs. Rajasthan Royals then hit back by taking two wickets in the following two overs.
In the third over, Jofra Archer dismissed Fraser-McGurk to give his team the first breakthrough before Karun Nair was run out for a duck in the fourth over.

While Rajasthan Royals would have liked to capitalise on those breakthroughs, Porel and KL Rahul dashed their hopes as they steadied the ship for the home side. The partnership between the two was already worth more than 50 runs, and Rajasthan Royals desperately needed a breakthrough.
Shimron Hetmyer's brilliance gives the Royals a breakthrough:
With both Rahul and Porel well set, Rajasthan Royals needed something special to break the partnership, and the special moment was provided by Shimron Hetmyer.
For the fourth ball of the 13th over, Archer bowled a short delivery and Rahul pulled it fiercely towards deep mid-wicket. The ball was hit flat and was looking destined to reach the boundary. However, Hetmyer had other plans.
The Royals batsman came running in from deep mid-wicket and got his fingertips under the ball just at the right time to catch the ball just inches above the ground.
