Suyash Sharma, on Sunday (April 27), brutally mocked Axar Patel during the game between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Delhi Capitals. It was the 46th game of the ongoing IPL 2025 and was taking place at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
The RCB spinner seems to have some grudge against the DC captain. During the first meeting between the two teams earlier this season, Suyash Sharma had given Axar Patel a death stare after dismissing him. And he decided to get under the skin of the DC star once again on Sunday.
Axar and Suyash have had a faceoff
The incident took place in the 12th over of the DC innings when Axar was facing Suyash Sharma. The leg-spinner began with a dot delivery before Axar took a single. On the third ball of the over, KL Rahul took a single as well to give the strike back to Axar.
After managing to collect only 2 runs from the first three balls, Axar decided to go for a big shot on the fourth ball. It was a flighted delivery in the slot and was there to be hit. Axar swung his bat hard but could not make any connection with the ball.
And as soon as Axar missed the ball, Suyash Sharma decided to mock the DC captain. He pretended to watch the ball going over the boundary, mocking Axar's missed attempt. On the very next delivery, Axar came up with a befitting response as he hit the spinner for a four.

Suyash could not pick up any wickets in the game, but he bowled a fine spell. The young spinner conceded just 22 runs in his 4 overs. On the other hand, Axar scored 15 runs and picked up the wickets of Jacob Bethell and Devdutt Padikkal.
RCB avenge their defeat in Delhi
Talking about the game, RCB thrashed DC by 6 wickets to move to the top of the points table. RCB also became the first team this season to register seven wins. Batting first, DC could score only 162/8 in 20 overs.
KL Rahul top-scored for DC, scoring while Bhuvneshwar Kumar was the pick of the RCB bowlers, taking 3 wickets. With the bat, RCB were off to a shaky start and were reeling at 26/3 before half-centuries from Virat Kohli and Krunal Pandya guided them to an impressive win.
