Delhi Capitals (DC) skipper Axar Patel didn't have the kind of outing he would've wanted with the bat in the ongoing game against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). The match between the two teams is taking place at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
Axar Patel was yet again forced to come earlier into the bat as Delhi Capitals lost quick wickets while chasing the target of 164 runs against Royal Challengers Bengaluru. The left-hander walked out to bat at five when Abishek Porel got out in the fifth over.
Axar Patel tried to steady the innings with KL Rahul and bring Delhi Capitals back in the game. He also looked to be aggressive as he played some good shots, but Royal Challengers Bengaluru spinner Suyash Sharma ended his stay at the crease in the 9th over.
On the 4th ball of the over, Suyash Sharma fired in a full ball outside off, to which Axar Patel attempted to hit over the extra over but ended up hitting it much straighter than intended. The ball went flat to Tim David at long-off and he took the catch safely to send the Delhi Capitals skipper packing.
What caught the attention of many was the reaction of Suyash Sharma after he removed Delhi Capitals skipper Axar Patel. The wrist-spinner came up with the death stare as the batter walked out of the ground.

RCB posts a total of 163 against DC
Coming to the first innings, Royal Challengers Bengaluru posted a total of 163 runs on the board. Phil Salt (37) and Virat Kohli (22) started brilliantly with the bat, but after they got out, nothing much went in favour of the Rajat Patidar-led side.
At one stage, Royal Challengers Bengaluru was reduced to 125 for seven, but Tim David (37* ) played a great hand in the end that powered Bengaluru to a total of 163 for seven. Vipraj Nigam and Kuldeep Yadav picked two wickets each for Delhi Capitals.
It's very important to stick with the length - Kuldeep Yadav
Kuldeep Yadav talked about his spell with the ball, saying that it was important to stick with the length. He said that he stuck to his plans with the ball before revealing his conversations with skipper Axar Patel. Speaking to broadcasters, he said:
"It's very important to stick with the length, obviously when you get a wicket like this, it's very important to put revs on the ball as a leg-spinner. I think the wicket is good to bat on, because of the dimensions on this ground, you tend to focus on the lengths and not bowl full. I just stuck to my task at hand. Vipraj bowled in the powerplay, I spoke to KL and he said that a few balls were holding.
"The chat with Axar was to try and spin the ball, read the batter's mind, the wicket was sticky and it was important to take wickets in the middle overs. I don't think there's dew, that's a good sign for the RCB bowlers. 163 is a good total, but it's chaseable at this ground."
