IND vs SA: Watch: "You Guys Are Giving Me Heart Attack Every Over" - Umpire Marais Erasmus To Indian Players On Day 3
The on-field umpire for the second Test, Marais Erasmus, was put under tons of pressure by the Indian team and the umpire cheekily quipped that the players were giving him a ‘heart attack’ with every passing over.
The intensity of the match reached great heights during Shardul Thakur’s spell in the fourth innings of the game. Almost every ball the Mumbai bowled looked like it could give India the breakthrough and the players were constantly chirping and appealing.
There was one such sequence where Thakur to Aiden Markram where Erasmus was under serious pressure. Thakur appealed for two LBWs and a caught behind before the fourth delivery ended up providing a breakthrough. Soon after, even Dean Elgar was troubled by the same bowler.
With the amount of appealing and screaming, Erasmus funnily mentioned that the Indian players were “giving a heart attack every over”. Since there is no crowd at the venue, the conversations can be clearly heard on the stump mic.

India managed to rack up 266 on the board in their third innings to set South Africa a target of 240 in the fourth innings. The surface is quite spicy once the effect of the roller wears out and the Indians found that the hard way.
After a stunning counterattack in the first hour on Day 3, things turned around as the ball started misbehaving on the pitch. From 155/2, India succumbed to 188/6 before being blown away for 266. South Africa has a tall chase on its hands to stay alive in the series.
