Kiwi pacer Adam Milne garnered a good bidding war between Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals in the IPL 2021 auction that took place in Chennai on February 18. Adam Milne was not among the top price getters but he has been in the mix of things for New Zealand for a good number of years now.
Mumbai Indians bought Milne for Rs.3.20 Crore on Friday. Milne is a pacer from New Zealand. He was recruited for the 2015 Indian Premier League by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) but was unable to play due to injury. He did play for RCB in both the 2016 and 2017 editions of the tournament.

Milne was bought by Mumbai Indians for Rs. 3.20 Crore in the IPL 2021 Auction held at Chennai on February 18. In the auction, Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals battled it out early on and then SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) but then Mumbai Indians went ahead with Milne.

Milne has played a total of 40 ODI matches so far for New Zealand and in these games, he has gone on to pick 41 wickets at an economy of 5.27 runs per over. In the T20I format, Milne has represented the Kiwis in 21 games and picked 25 wickets at an economy 7.43. In the IPL, he has played 5 games and picked 4 wickets.
