There is no doubt about the fact that India is one of the best teams in the world at the moment. Hardik Pandya

Within a year and a half, Hardik has established himself as the most reliable all-rounder. He has been often compared to former greats. Hardik packs a punch and is an asset to any team especially in the limited overs format. He is a powerful striker of the ball and can turn any match on its head. He has a knack of smashing spinners with utter disdain.

In the last two years, Hardik has also emerged as an impressive bowler. During the earlier part of his relatively short career, Hardik used to bowl a lot of short of length deliveries which helped batsmen score quickly against him. However, he has improved quite a bit in the recent past. He was one of the leading wicket-taker in the IPL. Besides his bowling and batting prowess, Hardik is a sensational fielder. Some of the catches he takes are simply extraordinary. He is also a brilliant ground fielder.

Jasprit Bumrah

The lanky speedster has been a find for India especially in the shorter formats. Even in his debut Test series against the Proteas, Bumrah was at his impressive best. He has matured over the last two years and is definitely among the top two bowlers in ODI and T20I cricket if not the No 1. Bumrah has the ability to execute the Yorkers to perfection. He also has a variety of slower deliveries up his sleeve. Time and again Bumrah has proved that he is a class act.

With an uncanny action, he generally hurries the batsmen with his pace. He is a nightmare to the batters, especially in the death. He can make any batsmen look a fool in front of his variations. He will make his World Cup debut next year and will look to make it a memorable one.

Kuldeep Yadav

The left-arm chinaman spinner along with Yuzvendra Chahal has replaced the experienced duo of Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja in the limited overs format. Kuldeep has been one of the biggest takeaways for India in the last year or so. Kuldeep has been superb with his line and length and has troubled top-class batsmen. Even during the IPL, he made life pretty difficult for the opposition batters.

He is among the 3 Indian bowlers to bag an ODI hat-trick. It was during an ODI series against Australia at the Eden Gardens that he achieved the elusive feat. His scalps were Matthew Wade, Ashton Agar and Pat Cummins. The left-arm unorthodox bowler will surely look to make an impression in the upcoming World Cup.

Chahal has been another brilliant inclusion in the Indian limited overs team. He is a very attacking bowler and can give you wickets at any time of the match. He is a class act and when on song can run through any batting line-ups. Along with Kuldeep, the duo bagged 33 wickets during the ODI series in South Africa which is a record. He has a stupendous record in ODI and T20I cricket.

Chahal will be making his World Cup debut next year. Before that, he will look to get used to the English conditions with the ODI and T20I series in England. He has been impressive in overseas conditions. Hence he will be confident of doing well in England.

KL Rahul

There is no guarantee whether he will be part of the Indian squad for the World Cup next year. However, given the form he has been in the recent past, he looks a likely candidate for the quadrennial event. Rahul was quite brilliant during the Indian Premier League. He finished as the 2nd highest run-getter of the tournament.

He is a very stylish top order batsman and makes batting look ridiculously easy at times. He is part of the Indian squad which will play England in a 3 match ODI and T20I series. Hence to make a case for himself, Rahul is aware of the fact that he has to get enough runs. However, it all depends on whether he is part of the playing XI. However, if he plays next year, it will be Rahul’s maiden World Cup.
