Winning the ICC World Cup as a skipper in 1992 to winning the general elections in 2018  – to become overall 19th Prime Minister of his country, the story of Pakistan’s Imran Khan is quite an inspiration to receive. Meanwhile, the former Indian cricketer, Kapil Dev and legendary actor, Aamir Khan haven’t received an invitation whatsoever.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf Patron Imran is all set to swear in as the PM of Pakistan.

Kapil Dev loves to go to Pakistan if invited:

Meanwhile, talking to CNN-News 18, the former Indian skipper Dev would love to go to Pakistan to see Imran taking the Oath as a prime minister.

However, Navjot Singh Sidhu received the invitation and is set to travel Pakistan as well.

The Bollywood actor Aamir Khan has a close relation with Imran Khan. But, he is also yet to receive the invitation to the ceremony. Meanwhile, the chief of Imran Khan, Mr Fawad added that they have sent the invitation,

“No, I am not going to Pakistan and I haven’t got an invitation for Imran Khan’s swearing-in ceremony,” the actor said while speaking to CNN-News 18. I am busy as I have a very big event for Paani Foundation, which I am preparing for. It’s a massive event with 10,000 villagers and is taking place on August 12,” Aamir added.

 

“When I get an invite, I’ll say yes,” Kapil Dev said.  Meanwhile, “I will travel to Pakistan to attend Imran’s oath-taking ceremony as he is a reliable person,” Sidhu was quoted as saying.

A day earlier, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) spokesperson Fawad Chaudhry said Imran had extended an invitation to Kapil Dev and Aamir Khan.

However, the miscommunication has surely taken part in the proceedings.

Aamir Khan once promised to visit Pakistan to cheer for Imran Khan:

Turning the clock back to 2012, Aamir once said that he will be the first person from India to cheer for Imran while taking the oath. The actor also promised that he would bring other Indians with him as well.

“When you win the election, I will definitely come [to Pakistan] to celebrate your victory. And I will bring lots of Indians with me,” said Aamir as was quoted by Geo Pakistan.

However, it was a great achievement by the former skipper of Pakistan, Imran after a successful career in cricket.
