Well, the veteran spinner Harbhajan Singh is the first Indian cricketer ever to take a hat-trick in Test matches for India. The former skipper Ricky Ponting, the flamboyant wicket-keeper batsman Adam Gilchrist and the spinner Shane Warne were the victims of the hat-trick. Now, Adam Gilchrist regrets not having DRS during those times.

Jasprit Bumrah became the third Indian to pick a hat-trick in Test cricket, as he dismissed Bravo, who was caught by KL Rahul at the second slip, and then had both Brooks and Chase LBW in the next two deliveries. Following the hat-trick, the achievements of Harbhajan Singh and Irfan Pathan were circulated on social media.

Harbhajan Singh is the first Indian to Pick Test hat-trick:

It was where Adam Gilchrist gave a reply to a social media user citing that there was no DRS to use in those times. The Decision Review System (DRS) was a distant reality then and the umpires were gods who had to take tight calls in the spur of the moment.

A controversial decision was taken by the on-field umpire and Gilchrist didn’t make much of a fuss, leaving the field with a wry smile on his face. It was the Indians riding on the home advantage. Following delivery, he got Shane Warne, who played Harbhajan to short-leg. Even though replays were not clear, the soft signal of the umpire stood out to register first hat-trick.

Well, DRS came into existence when it mattered the most, especially, for Jasprit Bumrah. When he was not confident of the third wicket, the skipper, who was confident of the dismissal went for a review. It was the move, which gave India their third bowler to register a hat-trick in Test format of the game.

Apart from Harbhajan Singh and Jasprit Bumrah, the other bowler, who picked hat-trick for India is Irfan Pathan. It was a special moment in Indian Cricket history, as it cam against Pakistan and all those three deliveries are top-class nuts to crack.
