Pakistan skipper, Sarfraz Ahmed feels the appointment of Imran Khan as the Prime Minister of the country will be a huge motivation for them in the Asia Cup 2018.

Imran Khan as a Prime Minister motivates us – Sarfraz Ahmed

Pakistan started off their campaign in the Asia Cup 2018 with a resounding victory against Hong Kong by eight wickets. The bowlers did a terrific job, and it was finished well by the top-order batters.

However, Pakistan has played some exceptional cricket off late. The momentum has been given early on in the batting order. Fakhar Zaman and Imam-ul-Haq have batted well as a pair which has been a premier reason behind Pakistan’s success in the recent past.

Meanwhile, Sarfraz Ahmed is of the opinion that Fakhar Zaman will continue to achieve success in the near future and will be Pakistan’s prime player in Asia Cup 2018.

“If you look at Fakhar Zaman, he has been improving constantly, and he is the key behind our ODI and T20I success as he always gives us a good platform. We have hopes that he will continue to perform well in the upcoming matches,” Sarfraz said.

Meanwhile, Mohammad Amir had gone wicketless against Hong Kong which might not be good signs for them.

“Of course, it’s a concern that Amir hasn’t picked up wickets. We sat down with him and told him that he’s playing as a strike bowler and that his job is to pick up wickets. Hopefully, he strikes with the ball in the upcoming matches,” he continues.

Sarfraz Ahmed also added the presence of Imran Khan would do wonders for Pakistan as the Prime Minister of the country. He said Imran Khan works as a motivating factor everytime he comes to watch a game.
