Australia vs India 2018, 1st Test: Twitter Feels Virat Kohli's Practice Video Jinxed Him
Updated - 06 Dec 2018, 01:49 PM
Ahead of Australia vs India 2018 series, it was all about Virat Kohli. In fact, at one stage, it felt like it was Australia vs Virat Kohli. However, it seems like all those statements, and the words of trust from the analysts and also from the fans have jinxed the India captain. Meanwhile, a section of cricket fanatics feels the practice video of Virat Kohli added a pinch of salt to it.
Kohli falls early in Adelaide
Unfortunately, Virat Kohli was welcomed to the crease in the seventh over of the game, as KL Rahul and Murali Vijay once again disappointed. However, it wasn’t a happy return to Adelaide for Virat Kohli, who got dismissed for just three to his name.
Meanwhile, Virat Kohli, who went for a booming drive against Pat Cummins, managed to get the outside edge. Usman Khawaja, who was taking care of the gulley region, grabbed a fantabulous catch to stun the crowd and also see India reeling at the crease.
As it happened:
Initially, it was India, who won the toss and chose to bat first. However, it turned out to be the poor decision, as Australian fast bowlers did the magic for their side. They rattled Indian batting order on a regular basis to see the scorecard reading 41/4.
Later, Rohit Sharma and Cheteshwar Pujara tried to settle in the things, but the former failed to keep his calm before losing his wicket to Nathan Lyon. Pujara was the only saviour for the Indian side, who was battling it out with a stunning half-century.
Coming to the bowling section, Hazlewood and Nathan Lyon bagged a couple of wickets each while Starc and Cummins picked one each. During the course, Cummins grabbed a scintillating record to his name, who got Virat Kohli twice on his fourth delivery.
Here are the few tweets:
Screamer of a catch… you need such efforts to dismiss batsmen like Virat Kohli.
Not much else to say otherwise. Can't be 20/2 in every overseas Test and expect one batsman to bail you out every time. #AusvInd

Take a bow @Uz_Khawaja . That's a horizontal slam dunk in reverse. LeBron James would be proud. The fact that it was king Kohli's scalp must have made it extra special. #AUSvIND

Kohli was dropped 3-4 times when he scored those 2 100’s + The first Test Malan dropped a sitter of Anderson!
I was about to tweet the same as @bhogleharsha ? before he said it on air.

Kohli dismissal huge moment for everyone, none more than Pat Cummins, who is still only 15 Tests into his career but fast becoming the best cricketer in the team. 16 wickets and a 50 in his previous two Tests v SAF. #AUSvIND
