Former Australia fast bowler, Jeff Thomson feels the bowlers can tackle the unstoppable Virat Kohli during forthcoming India’s tour of Down Under, which begins on November 21st. Meanwhile, the India captain had entered record books during the ODI series against the Windies. Moreover, looking at the way he has been performing, Thomson says he would be a tough nut to crack.

However, India will tour to Australia later this month for three T20Is, four Tests and three ODIs. Though Virat Kohli and co. had failed to beat South Africa and England in away Tests this year, his team would be determined to beat the hosts this time around.

Meanwhile, Jeff Thomson, who played 51 Tests for Australia was on a visit to the capital city of Odisha, Bhubaneswar and was the first sports personality to take the stage and share his thoughts at the inaugural Ekamra Sports Literary festival.

“Until I go out there (and bowl), I don’t know” is how Jeff Thomson began.

The Australian legend applauded Virat Kohli for his putting up some good show. However, he made a statement where he revealed how to tackle the top class batsman.

“He (Kohli) is obviously playing brilliant, but there are ways to tackle top batsmen. I am not saying (for certain) you can control them but let them score for one or two overs and then they may make a mistake,” Jeff Thomson added.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli became the fastest batsman to score 10,000 runs in One-Day international cricket. He also scored three consecutive centuries in the first three ODIs against the Windies.

“I hope the rest of the team plays as well as him (Kohli) against our bowlers” Jeff Thomson concluded.

As of now, Virat Kohli would be resting for the Windies T20Is but would return to the setup once India boards the flight to Australia for a daddy tour.
