Well, it has been a brilliant first day of the second Test between Australia and India at Perth. Both the sides displayed top-notch skills to entertain the fans throughout the hot day as the temperature hovers around 37.6 degrees. Amidst the high-quality cricket, we came across gloveman Rishabh Pant dropping the catch of Shaun Marsh, for which he drew flak from the Indians supporters.
Young Pant has been quite vocal behind the stumps on Day 1 of the Perth Test. He continuously tried to get under the skin of Australian batsmen to make things happen for his side. However, a section of fans isn’t pleased with it.
Rishabh Pant was quite vocal behind the wickets:
The incident took place in the 67th over of the game when Hanuma Vihari kept Marsh troubling. Marsh, who was so patient in leaving the ball, went for a cut shot, which got the thick edge on its way to Pant.

The youngster failed to get hold of it thus ending up giving a reprieve to Marsh. Pant has got the chance to pluck it on the rebound, but unfortunately, he couldn’t catch; eventually, the chance has gone begging
However, thankfully for Pant, Vihari dismissed Marsh with a peach of the delivery. Vihari has once again got better of Marsh, who was trying to cut him away. Moreover, Ajinkya Rahane completed a sharp catch to send Marsh back to the hut.

Coming to the match progress on Day 1, it was all about Australian openers in the first session of the Day. Aaron Finch and Marcus Harris knocked the fifties to give Australia a solid start. However, the middle-order department failed to utilise it.
Despite the ordinary performance in the first session, Indian bowlers came back well to dismantle Australian lineup. However, in the end, the game is pretty much in balance for both the sides.

Still prefer pant over Saha. Need runs with the bat. https://t.co/MUfDsLW87k

We live in a world where Sanjay Manjrekar complains about Rishabh Pant not keeping his mouth shut.
I leave the rest to you guys.#INDvAUS #AUSvsIND

Rishabh Pant could've taken that catch of Shaun Marsh but poor guy was way too busy in sledging.#AUSvIND

With his speaking skills behind the stumps, he must work on his catching skills as well #RishabhPant. #INDvAUS @Channel7 @cricketaakash @ESPNscorecard @ESPNcricinfo

#RishabhPant is such a mediocre wicket keeper.

Rishabh pant, focus on your wicket keeping not on sledging… Remember you keeping is worse than kamran akmal #AUSvsIND @RishabPant777
