Well, the return to the game of cricket isn’t going well for the right-handed batsman Cameron Bancroft. The opening batsman, who served a 9-month ban while making his baby steps in the International cricket hasn’t got the best of the moments while returning back. Meanwhile, he was sledged by James Pattinson in the ongoing Big Bash League (BBL 2018/19).

Cameron Bancroft has struggled to make an impact for Perth Scorchers. He failed to knock runs freely for the team, which saw him staying on the wrong side of things. Especially, in the game against Brisbane Heat, Cameron Bancroft took as many as 10 balls to get off the mark.

Mate, you had nine months – James Pattinson to Cameron Bancroft

Meanwhile, the fast bowler, James Pattinson, who generally loves to go at the batsman started sledging Cameron. He told Bancroft that he has got 9 months time to train but the result has been pretty poor, as his front foot just struck in the crease.

“(Bancroft) played a couple of balls and Jimmy was into him: ‘Mate you had nine months to get that front pad out of the way’ and stuff like that. It was good banter,” Lynn told Macquarie Radio in an interaction.

‘Bangers’ is a good kid, one of the hardest trainers I’ve ever seen so he’s going to come back really strong, but I still think there’s going to be a couple of guys ahead of him (for a national call-up),” Brisbane Heat captain Chris Lynn added.

So far, it has been a pretty poor show from Cameron Bancroft in the Big Bash League. In his return match against Hobart Hurricanes, he scored 2 runs while in the match against Sydney Thunder, he managed to score 19 runs.

Coming to his third game against Brisbane, he got his first run after 10 balls. He eventually walked back scoring 24 off 26 balls that included a couple of sixes as well.

However, Cameron Bancroft has always been a tough guy, who displayed top-notch skills for his side. The team management would hope him get into his zone as quickly as possible.
