ICC Test Rankings: Jasprit Bumrah, Pat Cummins Attain Career-Best Rankings

India’s gun fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has made of a jump of 12 places to attain the career-best ranking of 16th in the latest ICC Test rankings. Bumrah had come up a stellar performance in the third Test match against Australia. He had taken his best bowling figures of 6-33 in the first innings. Furthermore, he scalped three more wickets in the second dig to finish the match with nine wickets for 86 runs.

Consequently, Jasprit Bumrah got the Man of the match award. Furthermore, Pat Cummins had also come with an all-around performance. Cummins also took nine wickets and has broken into the top five bowlers as he takes the third place.

Bumrah was breathing fire in MCG.

New Zealand premier fast bowler Trent Boult who also took nine wickets in the second Test against Sri Lanka made a gain of 14 positions to occupy the seventh place in the rankings. Henry Nicholls is the other Kiwi to take giant strides in the rankings table. Nicholls scored an unbeaten 162 against Sri Lanka to perch at number seven place – which is career-best ranking.

On the other hand, Duanne Oliver bagged his opportunity with both hands. The Proteas fast bowler scalped 11 wickets in the first Test match against Pakistan to vault by 17 places to get to career-high 36th rank.

Tom Latham moved up by eight places to 14, Quinton de Kock by five places to 25th spot. On the other hand, Babar Azam claimed 29th rank to move up by nine places.

India’s rookie wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant jumped by 10 places to take 38th rank whereas Rohit Sharma, who became a father, has made a gain of 11 positions to move to 44th rank.

Meanwhile, Ravindra Jadeja slipped by one rank to third place in the ICC Test all-rounder list which has pushed Jason Holder to the second rank.
