In what has been the latest development as per the reports in ESPNCricinfo, it is learned that Australia opener David Warner will only be playing in ILT20 2024 after he fulfils his commitments in the Big Bash League (BBL) 2024.

David Warner, who was acquired by Sydney Thunders for a whopping amount of money last year, will be joining the team after the Test series against Pakistan, which will be his last in the format. It is learned that BBL franchises are assuming that ILT20 will begin from 20th January

The BBL 2024 is likely to conclude on 24th January therefore if Sydney Thunders didn’t qualify for the playoffs, David Warner can play in ILT20 from the beginning. However, if his team advances ahead, the Southpaw then might miss a few games in the ILT20 because of his commitments with the BBL team.

The reports also suggested that to play in the ILT20 2024, David Warner will be needing a NOC from Cricket Australia. The cricketer joined on a two-year deal worth AUD$340,00 with Sydney Thunders.
